What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

That’s a Moiré

Enzo Prina

Artist Enzo Prina’s art involves a level of patience at which I can only dream. His process is incredibly satisfying to watch. He starts with a (large) canvas or wood block which he typically covers in gold leaf or a solid color. He then uses thin strips of masking tape, paints, and pastels to create ombré layers of colors and lines and images that completely blow me away. I could watch him work for hours.

The result of all those steps and all that patience is often a moiré-type effect which I just love. It boggles my mind to realize these effects aren’t created using computers. What a satisfying process his must be!

You can follow Enzo Prina’s marvelous work on his website and on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

What an intense, precise and mesmerizing process. I found it very satisfying to watch the tape pulls.
