Thanks to Facebook memories (that’s right, I’m that old that I still go on Facebook), I belatedly realized today is OBT’s 12th anniversary! I don’t think I’ve ever forgotten one before. I hope that means the romance isn’t gone…
In honor of 12 years of daily posts about art and beauty and humor and cool stuff (and the occasional Etsy fail), I thought I’d share something truly uplifting. I stumbled upon Jasmine Wilder’s Tiny Joy Project in my new-and-improved Instagram feed*, and I knew it was something I had to share with you lovelies. Wilder describes it as “a soft, human corner of the internet for people who are a little drunk on being alive. The kind who look up at the sky and can’t believe they get to be here at all.”
*I’m trying to encourage music and dance and kittens and kindness rather than the doom scrolling I was doing previously. I now get my news elsewhere, mostly. It has taken a while, but my feed is definitely getting more positive!
Every week on Wednesday, Wilder sends out an essay on presence and wonder and beauty. And each essay is accompanied with a list of tiny joys, “the little proofs that life’s still good, still trying, still full of magic when you pay attention.” I love this woman’s attitude!
You can follow The Tiny Joy Project on their Substack and on Instagram and Facebook. And happy anniversary to me!

“Tell the roses we’re leaving.” “Want to split a croissant?” Be still my heart. ❤️
