Happy Doodles

Dan Tavis

Although New Hampshire-based illustrator Dan Tavis is New York Times bestselling illustrator, he still thinks of what he creates as doodles. Dan Tavis has an adorable way of lseeing things. Looking at the characters he paints, you feel an immediate emotional connection, so it’s no surprise that the books he’s illustrated are beloved all over the world.

Tavis generously posts timelapse videos of the creation of many of his paintings, and they’re fascinating to watch. I knew his name sounded familiar, and when I searched for him in my published posts, sure enough, up he came in one of my Etsomnia posts.

You can follow Dan Tavis on his website and on YouTube, Instagram, Etsy, and Facebook.
