Morag Myerscough (who I sometimes suspect is actually Amy Sedaris) is a UK-based installation artist who blends architectural details with bright witty graphics. In spite of the large scale of her installations, she describes herself as being at the “helm of a very small team, one of which is a dog.” The child of a textile artist and a musician, the luck Myerscough was encouraged to be a maker from a very young age. While attending art school, she realized she was very much ahead of her time, but undaunted, Myerscough persisted in the very best way. She began by pursuing a career in graphics, but it quickly became apparent that wasn’t a match. So when she was approached to begin designing retail and public spaces, she pounced.
Myerscough’s joyful installations can be found all over the UK and elsewhere, in everything from permanent bus structures and cafes to music festivals.
You can follow the incredible Morag Myerscough on her website and on Instagram.
