At least the cat people aren’t without a sense of humor. I Could Pee on This cat calendar
I think the objects with which you surround yourself can impact your mental state. That’s why I believe something as ubiquitous as your calendar can have a real effect on your day.
We always buy the Broad Channel calendar. Of course, it has the features you’d expect from a wall calendar, but there are two things that make it special. 1. The calendar has fascinating vintage pictures from the neighborhood, and 2. Included are the phases of the moon and high and low tides by which we live. We couldn’t get by without our B.C. calendar.
However, my friend Michele was shopping for her 2015 supplies and came up with the ingenious idea of a post about kooky calendars. I loved the idea, and here it is! Some of them are genius, some are practical, some of them are hilarious, some of them are gross, and some of them are just plain nuts, but they’re certainly surprising!
As with my Etsomnia™ posts, the link below each picture goes to the item for sale.

Celestial Journeys calendar featuring tasteful images like this ocean lady blowing a conch. Sorry, blowing ON a conch.

Farm Yoga calendar

Had I known it existed, the Nuns Having Fun wall calendar would have been all over my Christmas list

This Goats in Trees calendar is weirdly specific

Here’s another bizarrely-specific animals-in-things calendar, this time Dogs in Cars. Who buys this stuff?

This is my last animals-in-things offering. I promise. It’s just that you really needed to see the Chicks in Hats calendar

Do you love cats, but don’t want to appear weak at work? This Highly Professional Business Cats calendar should strike the right note!

The Cheese Curl Art calendar is sure to become a collector’s item (because I can’t imagine they printed more than 10 of them)

I love this Penguins Hate Stuff calendar so much, I’m tempted to buy one even though I don’t need it!

And for the conflicted marshmallows in your life, here’s the Marshmallow Microcosm calendar

In case you’re into farm vehicle porn, here’s a Tractor calendar

This is listed as the Coffee Addiction calendar. They make the sacred love of coffee sound like something shameful!

Speaking of addiction, here’s the Man v. Liver calendar

While we’re listing hits and misses, here are some misters in the Emotionally Unavailable Guys calendar. Mysteriously, it only got one star.

And the winner in the odd combinations category is the Superheroes & Fairies calendar. I’m assuming this one isn’t flying off the shelves . . .

I could not agree more about the effect on us of things with which we surround ourselves. And you have reminded me that my request for a new wall calendar for my office this year went unanswered. I hope I can find one of these weird treats when I wander over to the discount calendar shop I hope is still set up in the nearby shopping pedway!

Business cats? Yes–I love it! But not as much, I think, as I love the Farm Yoga calendar. Who thinks up this stuff??!!

I made the business cats calendar and the paintings inside it! It’s a weird gig, and a labor of love.
