In September 2014, Details Magazine published a men’s fashion spread called “Life Imitates Art.” For the project, renowned fashion photographer Lacey worked with painter Alexa Meade to transform the models into two dimensional images. The results are really stunning.
Below the photos is the perhaps even more fascinating making-of video which shows the models undergoing their remarkable transformation. The painting was so specific to the angles from which the models are shot, it’s hard to comprehend how much planning must have gone into this piece. I hope you are as impressed as I am!

Wow. how clever was that?! I was wondering if this kind of effect was used in the ‘Take on Me’ video back in the 80’s ? I still think it is brilliant! So innovative.
