Most dancers’ careers are short-lived, but some never get to show their stuff at all. Following repeated knee injuries, promising Australian dancer Ingrid Endel was forced to give up dance after 12 years of training. But rather than letting that get her down, when she put down her toe shoes, she picked up her camera and began photographing dancers. Her compositions are dramatic, evocative, and heavily influenced by her history with dance. Her love of nature also comes through loud and clear.
