Salmon Studios describes what they do as “Psycho-organic metal sculpture.” One of my favorite discoveries at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show was this nutty company. I want every single thing they’ve made, and I’m actually kind of fussy.
Their style is kind of all over the place, which is one of the things I like best about them. They’ve made everything from hyper-modern furniture to steampunk (in the very best way) music stands to organic-looking metal museum installations. I love their flexibility and creativity, and if you get a chance to see their work in person, it’s not to be missed.

Welcome to my world! Do I have any good reason to own that music stand? No, I do not. Does that stop me from daydreaming about it? Nope.

Oh, these are lovely things, especially those doors!

Yeah, the doors really did me in. And unfortunately, I live in a little, nondescript house in a fairly rustic fishing village (in New York City), so their doors would be ridiculous on our house. Damn, damn, damn.

I guess I’ll just have to build a second floor to accommodate those outside stairs and that balcony rail. Gorgeous stuff!!
