Beloved and I are getting away for a few days for the (long) holiday weekend, so I wanted to leave you with something extra fun. This is a fascinating project by the well-known Austrian pop-and-street artist Domingo Geronimo Mattle. Though he is maybe best known for his graffiti projects in the Bronx, Hong Kong, and L.A., it’s his most recent project where he takes famous paintings and paints what their rear view would have been that has me exited today. There’s something a little perverse about the project, but it also shows what an absolute master he is at his craft as well. These paints are truly stunning, and look like they would fit right in among the originals. What an absolute baller move for a street artist!
