Today, I’m thrilled to bring you an amazing singer, and I can’t believe I haven’t stumbled upon him before! This is the young, Brisbane-based jazz singer named Josh Linnett. To say his vocals are smooth is to grossly understate the velvety texture of his voice. And his deep respect for the jazz standards means his versions, while uniquely his, would fit right in among the greats of yesteryear.

He and his combo, The Chasers, are working way up from weddings and senior centers (so cute!) to restaurants to jazz clubs, and I imagine they’ll break through to larger venues in the not very distant future. And though most of his current gigs seem to take place in and around Brisbane, I have high hopes that he makes it to New York. I’d dearly love to hear him live!
