This is the incredibly stylish art of Joshua Evan (who signs his work Joshua E.). Joshua is a fellow WordPress blogger, and I happened upon his latest work while I was reading posts about illustration. As soon as I saw the piece above, I knew I had to show you his work.
His art explores a number of different styles, but it’s his retro stuff that I love the best. He’s really got it all right; the look, the level of detail, even his palette is spot on. His designs make me think of beloved objects from my childhood. Thrillingly, prints of his beautiful works are available in his online shop. Hope you enjoy these beautiful, nostalgic illustrations!

Oh Wow! He is making punchy, bold, fun art out of my childhood. I love the style. I will need to go and check out Joshua Evan’s blog now.

LOVE these! I grew up in that era! Soo nostalgic. Wish I could afford to buy a whole bunch of his art!

Me, too! I love this stuff. It would be spectacular in a retro-styled home bar. I think my little house needs an addition!

These are great. And remind me greatly of a series of paintings a friend of mine did years ago.

These pieces of art make me smile. And the teeth in a glass is spot on for my great-grandmother’s bedside table.

Isn’t that adorable? (Though less so in person.)
