CouturePoetry
These are the glorious, decadent, highly-desirable designs by Faith McGary, sold in her Etsy shop, CouturePoetry. ‘Couture’ is one of those words that gets thrown around pretty loosely these days, but in McGary’s case, it’s clearly legit. She teamed up with her husband, photographer Richard Sepcic to create not just beautiful clothing, but also beautiful art. The photographs are every big as glamorous and noteworthy as the garments. I set out to make this post about the clothes, but when I started going through the old Hollywood-style photos, I was even more impressed. Happily, I don’t have to choose between them!
“Fashion Designer/Stylist Faith McGary and photographer Richard Sepcic team as artists to raise awareness for animal rescue and social issues. In their everyday lives, they partner as a married couple to raise their furry family, three rescue dogs who they probably spoil more than they may care to admit. Faith is a retired mobile telecoms inventor with Irish roots that she traces back to her great-grandparents in Co. Roscommon. Richard has a deep, lifetime love of all things Irish, most especially his wife.”
While you’re browsing the shop, be sure to check out McGary’s line of vintage-inspired gowns, too. The stunning work created by his dynamic duo have made a life-long fan of me!

The dark satin frock with a flash of orange and white lace bodice is spectacular.

I hope it didn’t come across as uncomplimentary. On the contrary, their work – collectively – is amazing. And heady, lush, intoxicating. Much like I imagine an opioid bubble bath might be.

Nothing here for almost-70 year olds with hips. But I do love red taffeta….
