Like all new moms, Laura Izumikawa has heard 100 times or more than you sleep when baby sleeps. But Izumikawa had a better idea. A MUCH better idea.

When her daughter, little Joey Marie Choi, conks out for a nap, her very creative mother swings into action. She has created one of the most entertaining Instagrams I’ve ever seen, dressing up her unconscious baby as everything from Princess Leia to Pikachu to Slash as she sleeps. I wish I’d had the forethought to do that, though my littlest was a baby when Polaroids were enjoying their FIRST wave of popularity. (She’s 26 now, and is no doubt glad Instagram wasn’t a thing when she was wee. I would have been all over that!)

The photo slide show at Joey’s wedding is going to have the guests rolling in the aisles.

Hats off to that mother! Brilliant and hilarious. Hopefully she can sell these for the therapy Joey later claims to need.

Hihi, even though these are wicked, I still hope that the baby grows up and pays her mother back when she has trouble running away. 😀

Oh my word! These are adorable and creative and a wonderful antidote to life at the moment. I also feel like I wasted lots of opportunities when my kids were babies.

These are so cute! I’ll have to do something like these when my baby comes!
