What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

Nice Ride!

hallo 0Happy Halloween! By now, you have probably noticed how obsessed with dressing up I am, so it will come as no surprise that I’m posting about Halloween costumes today. However, I decided that this year, I wanted to show you something a little special.

These are costumes for children with mobility issues, and they’re way more awesome than those made for their typically-abled counterparts. Not crafty? No problem. You can actually buy some of these on Etsy!

Hope everyone has a magnificent Halloween. Don’t forget to post pictures!

Here’s an interview Huffington Post did with the father of Peyton McCubbin about their family’s tradition of doing a costume every year based upon Peyton’s wheelchair.

And although this post is really about the kids, I just had to show you my two favorite badass adult costumes.

Monty Python fans, how jealous are you?

And just because you were such a good sport and hung in there for the whole post, here’s a special bonus photo! Happy Halloween!

  5. That’s really imaginative problem solving and great crafting. I’m a Star Wars fan so my favourite was Darth Vader in his tie fighter.

  7. What a marvellous idea, posting these pictures. I had never thought before that something as ordinary as a Halloween costume is a challenge to some people. And how they met the challenge!

  8. My sweet daughter was handicapped, not physically, but mentally, so I appreciate, on a different level, the special kind of love displayed by the parents and caregivers of these wonderful kids. Halloween was a favorite of Jessica’s, so this is a bittersweet tug on my heart. Any time you get a chance to make ANY kid smile, just do it. These were all Treats!
