In April 2014, I wrote about the brilliant geek jewelry designer Paul Michael. It turns out he has a bit of competition.
This is the work of Justin Davis, and it’s fantastic. Star Wars is one of my all-time favorite things, and this guy is getting it just right. Both designers are doing a spectacular job of making me want to spend entire paychecks on jewelry, so it seemed only fair to include some pieces from both designers. Yay! Geek Day!
These pieces elevate geekery to a whole other level. Each piece is beautifully crafted. We are big Star Wars fans in my house so I was immediately drawn to those pieces but I think my favourite is actually the golden snitch (my kids and I are Potterphiles too). I will have to show my husband and kids your blog post.
I wish! I have lots of bits of costume jewellery and some really nice pieces but I wear the same practical few pieces over and over. I really don’t need more jewellery – not even super geeky, sparkly pieces.
The piece with a ruby, the one you said “I don’t even know what this is, I just loved it. It’s for killing zombies or something” is based on the hunting bow that Daryl used in the Walking Dead. A compound bow basically uses pulleys to give the arrows more velocity.

I want that flash ring! My MT would be so covetous (I am hearing “my precious” in a slithery voice in my head. Should I be concerned?)

If you’re in trouble, then I’m in trouble. That’s what I call my work anniversary watch.

Isn’t it great? It’s the droid ring that rung my bell, though. And the Enterprise necklace.

I don’t think of myself as a geek but there are plenty of these I would wear. I love this one — https://www.etsy.com/listing/213585648/custom-silver-necklace-princess-leia?ref=shop_home_active_18&ga_search_query=silver%2Bnecklace
But the compound bow bugs me. The ruby is in the wrong place somehow. Maybe I am a geek.
