I have always been a fan of handmade rocking and ride-on toys, the more creative, the better. I thought today, I’d explore some of the more beautiful and unusual examples. Some of these are so spectacular, they make me want to take up woodworking! All photos include links to the (likely very pricey) item for sale.

Very cool and imaginative. I wish I had a baby in my life I could buy that speeder bike for. Of course, I didn’t check out the price so it depends on how much the cost is and how much I adore said baby. My kids actually had a wooden rocking motorbike but we chose to sell it when we emigrated since they had largely outgrown it.

I love the children in my life dearly. I have been sliced and diced giving birth to some of them. But not one of them, not a single one, would have me shelling out $724 for a toy. Cardboard box, scissors and crayons. Same fun.

The elephant is my favorite–the wood grain is so perfect. My Matthew would have loved the steam shovel one when he was little.
