It’s not that I don’t find it hilarious (I do) or that the makers aren’t in on the joke (They are). It’s that I’ve reached an age where people might think I’m serious. By GoodieTees
Et·som·ni·a (/etˈsämnēə/), noun, 1. a sleep disorder caused by obsessive Etsy browsing. 2. the surprising arrival of weird handmade merchandise ordered when one is only half conscious. (True story.)
My plan was to feature mermaid-related stuff this week for the Mermaid Parade and gay pride merchandise next week in honor of NY LGBT Pride, but in light of the terrible shooting in Orlando, I thought we needed some rainbows. Rainbows are often used to communicate diversity and acceptance of difference and pride in your own differences, so today is rainbow day, a week early!

I’m powerless against rainbow things AND makeup, so this glorious rainbow highlighter had me at hello! By PASHMACCO

I always found unicorns vaguely phallic, but if you must wear a phallus on your head, this is definitely the one to go with. By Graciosa

Wonderful Craftsman-style stained glass panel. By dreamworkspb who makes many gorgeous, affordable rainbow stained glass things!

Not only is this leather feather beautiful (and fun to say), but $8 from every sale is donated to the GoFundMe campaign for the Pulse victims’ families. I bought two! By LucyLovesLeather.

Look! A literal sad sack!

I couldn’t resist including one more from GoodieTees. I need to buy these people a drink!

How amazing is this? Bunberries will make a miniature keepsake of your wedding cake!

I always drool over these rainbow sapphire bracelets, and the fact that it’s princess cut makes it nearly irresistible. By RainbowSapphire

I can appreciate minimalism, but this is just plain lazy.

I am sorely tempted to buy this for Ms. Columbia, a local celebrity, and New York institution. Sure, it’s terrible, but I think she’d love it!

“When strapping your cats to your legs is no longer an option…” (What do they mean “no longer an option?”) Custom-made leggings featuring pics of your own cat. I know at least three people who NEED these. By MyPetLeggings

As hilarious as it all is, it’s really the old-lady girdle garters that I love the most.

I hope one of those gizmos doubles as a diabetes lancet.

I can’t wait to have pets again, so I can dress them up and piss them off! (I know I’ve linked to Henry’s pics before, but they still crack me up!) By iheartneedlework

Why do I need a felted penguin with dreads? I don’t know. By TheFeltsy

These would look fantastic in a parade! By DancingTreeCreations

Can you imagine the damage you could do throwing this vintage jewelry and duct tape wedding bouquet? Torts for everyone!

Mind you, this is just a guess, but I suspect the artist is a lesbian.

I have a lot of fun at the expense of the felters, but if I could think of a justification for buying this shockingly beautiful hat, it would be mine! By HandiCraftKate

“Fruit stripes” pretty well sums up these sneakers. By customkicksworld who also make these amazing things!

There are actually lots of nice bits and bobs in this selection and only a few “what the actual flip” items. I know without even asking him that my 9 year old son is going to want that rainbow unicorn headband (so I have added it to favourites) and my 13 year old son is going to want a weenie felt penguin.

I personally love the bracelet but my funds don’t even stretch that far in my dreams sadly.

Aren’t those things amazing? It’s pretty incredible to me that the necklace you posted about is the same stone as these things. Such diverse colors!

Yes, they are. Fluorite is available in several colors, it is up to the metal inside, which color they get.

Here is your justification for that gorgeous fun felted hat:
J.K. Rowling has verified that Dumbledore was gay. You know that’s the real Sorting Hat. It’s too literarily important a work for you NOT to own! Love this post, as I do all your posts. Peace and love from, as a dear friend calls me, Paula, Straight, Not Narrow.

Thank you, dear Paula, S.N.N. (it’s like a graduate degree!), for both the compliment and the justification!

You’re a sweetie! You’re the first to know, but I don’t think we’re going to Seattle. Most of my department is going to be out in August, and I think it would be better for me to attend the mid-year and the annual next year than to try to sneak out this year.
