Whole Wood Playhouses

Today’s post is making me wish I could be a child again! These are the wonderful play structures designed and made by Whole Wood Playhouses. Suitable for use indoors or out, the playhouses are designed, built, and painted by a designer and are delivered in ready-to-assemble panels. They say assembly should take only about an hour. The playhouses are made of sustainable solid wood and fasteners and painted only with eco-friendly paints.

In addition to their modular playhouses, Whole Wood Playhouses also sells DIY kits. I’ll bet that would be a fun project to make with your kids. What a great way to teach them basic building skills and tool use! You can also buy them unpainted and have the fun of choosing your own colors and painting it yourself.

You can follow Whole Wood Playhouses on their website and on Instagram.

    • I know the grands would love it, but I’m not sure how I’d get in to keep it clean. I suspect it would end up being spiderama in there.

      • It wasn’t as fancy as most of these but my friend built one simular. The roof was hinged in the back and they would open the top, clean it and put that top back in place, Without looking at the very back, you wouldn’t see the hinges. I one I really admire are the tree houses. Hal

      • That’s a great idea! My parents’ house came with a dog house attached to a dog run of a similar design. My mom decided to open the roof up once, and was soundly scolded by a family of squirrels who had apparently taken up residence. She screamed, dropped the roof, then we laughed until we cried.

  5. My kids would have loved this when they were wee. I grew up using our stone shed as a gang hut for all of our friends in the neighbourhood so I would have loved to have had something like this.
