Thanks to Marco McClean’s blog, Memo of the Air, I have recently discovered an amazing YouTube channel called The History Lounge. They take historical and archival photos, colorize them, and turn them into videos set to era-appropriate music. The videos also feature a spoken=word introduction and the occasional sound effect. The vibe they create is just amazing. Vintage photos and mellow music, what could be better? There are also some less mellow subjects and videos (Vintage Car Crash Compilation comes to mind), but overall, you can just let them play and bliss out to the vintage awesomeness.
You can enjoy all the awesome videos on The History Lounge YouTube channel.

I love stuff like this. I follow so many vintage photo accounts on Instagram. I had to watch without volume on but I will definitely circle back and check them out with the musical accompaniment too.

I follow loads of the vintage accounts, too! We should compare notes sometime.
