From January 27 through January 28, 2024, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC will be hosting an AKC Meet the Breeds event. Not only will dog lovers get to learn more about the AKC-acknowledged breeds, THEY CAN PLAY WITH THEM. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough allergy medicine in the world for me to attend, but If you can, you should! Tickets start at $20, and include shows of canine agility and intelligence in the Breeds Demo Ring, educational activities for kiddies and adults alike, access to the vendor area (no dogs for sale, but loads of doggo swag!), and admittance to the dog meet and greet section.

You can also watch various demonstrations of dog sports in agility, disc dog, scent work and more! And participate in games, an art station and photo opportunities with the whole family in our Kids Zone.”
