Prepare to have your world rocked by hilarious hats and strange sculpture and oddly-compelling adult (and baby) onesies and other kooky stuff. This is the nutty, fun, eminently likeable world of BlamoToys. I came upon them last week while trolling Etsy for derp. (F.Y.I., “animal hat” is a very fruitful search if you want to laugh.) My search turned up this, and when I checked out the shop, I was instantly charmed and entertained. I spent a few minutes considering to whom I could gift these wonderful, joy-filled things, then I realized I had to share their playful view of the world with you lovely people.

The brain child of Spencer Hansen and Shayne Maratea, BlamoToys has a simple goal: fun.

“My goal is to create objects that are the antithesis of our disposable culture. Our creatures are alive in our minds, quirky yet substantial, composed of natural materials like leather, wood, and brass. Each inhabitant of Blamoville has his or her own unique personality and backstory. Our handmade onesies are a fun way to engage your playful side/animal nature. We hope that you will find as much enjoyment having them in your home as we had creating them!” -Spencer Hansen, about BlamoToys

They are lovely, generous people, with a great sense of joy. Even their product photos are a delight!

  1. These are so…charming? Hilarious? Slightly askew? There is no word, they just make me happy. I need Hug to come stand on my desk all day. And the pic of the unicorn on the motorcycle……..
    Thanks for finding and sharing.
