Artist Anastasiya Khramtsova and her partner, sculptor Semen Belugin, make what they call practical art. Sold in their Etsy shops FreeInTree and FreeInTreeBirds, their hand-carved wooden jewelry, mini sculptures, and, most notably, hair accessories pack a big impact for a very fair price. And you can get them to make you a wearable portrait of your pet for under $100!
The hair forks and sticks even come with a handsome stand so you can display your artwork when you’re not wearing it. I’m seriously in love with these pieces. I’m absolutely buying myself the crane, but I feel like these might become something I want to collect!

What beautiful hair pieces! Just wish I had enough hair to use them.

You could alway buy them as sculptures (or weapons)!

They are beautiful and if I had enough hair to pin up with one I would be buying one.

My hair is a little sparse lately, but I’m considering buying one and a clip-on bun (“stunt hair”) to go with it.

Bwah ha ha! Yes. That would be a whole other post. Maybe featuring some Etsomnia horror too.

I have always loved birds (and own several as pets), but the hair clips tongs look like a speculum. I can’t un-see it now, and these objects remind me of how fun it is to get my cervix examined. 😛

Oh, boy. Now I can’t unsee it either. That’s not going to stop me from buying one, though. I will now just tell people it’s my travel speculum.

Finally, something good about having hair that looks like a bird’s nest!

By our hair would hold those things like crazy! (And it does not look like a bird’s nest)

You are sweet. But honestly the first thing I thought when I saw this post was “finally, something good about having such thick hair.” The grayer it gets, the bigger it gets. It’s a grass-is-greener thing.

Mine is currently on the puny side. I look forward to a mane of grey!

These are awesome. Well, the skull kind of creeps me out, but the animals are adorable. I love the fox. I have an abundance of hair, but it is slick. Not sure if it would hold (rather than let it slide…) one of these, but I’ll give it a try.

I would start with one of those no-slip-grip ponytail holders for security.

Kate, I can show you how to make combs and similar things stay in your hair.
