Amazing. Who would have thought of painting on an almond sliver? It could become as huge as the painting on a grain of rice is!

I remember seeing an exhibition of rice grain and other minuscule paintings as a child on vacation somewhere on Cape Cod. I had no problem seeing the details back then. I can no longer imagine being able to see such tiny things, but I am glad someone still can.

I am always in awe of people who can create on such a tiny scale. I especially like the pieces painted on beetles.
